We were on the 9/4 sailing on Mardi Gras. The lead up to the cruise was stressful with getting covid tests but it was so worth it!. We loved the ship and wearing masks wasn't a big deal to us. The many different dining areas were great. We liked that Guys has its own area now. We had dinner in the main dining room 4 nights. One night we dined in Cucina which was free right now. It was SO good - we were not expecting that at all to be honest. Chibang (also free) was better than we expected. Rudi's was the best meal of the week. We loved the scallops, seafood bisque and crab stuffed lobster. It was worth the $38 per person charge. We liked the layout of the ship even though it was very different from other ships. And the serenity deck was HUGE. It had a great bar and even had a salad bar as well. There were so many entertainment options we couldn't see everything that we would have liked to. We tried Bolt on our first port day and loved it. Then we tried the ropes course and it was very challenging. We never saw the gym or the spa. We can't WAIT to sail on Mardi Gras again next year.
We were in a side view extended balcony, 12354. The cabins on Mardi Gras are narrower but we got used to it. We loved the decor and the glass shower door was so much better than the curtain. The cabin had plenty of storage. 12354 was the perfect location mid ship and the balcony was HUGE. We would choose this cabin again.
We chose an independent excursion to Little French key. The shuttle driver was waiting on us and gave us a lot of history on the way to the island. We had a great deal with a yummy included lunch and drinks. Highly recommend.
