DH and I had decided we would not cruise until the Pandemic was history. Then in June, along came a deal, Covid numbers were decreasing, and we booked a Greek Island Cruise for August.2021. It seemed that immediately after our booking the Covid numbers spiked to levels surpassing 2020. It seemed Greece and our departure port in Cyprus were hitting the news. So we turned off our TV and called our TA to let us know when our cruise would be cancelled.
On August27, despite the pleading of our children to not go, we went to the airport with passports, cyprus flight pass, vaccination docs in hand, and arrived in Cyprus 2 stops and 18 hours later. Upon deboarding the plane we followed the passenger line to a warehouse type building where we presented our travel documents and were tested for Covid.
It was a it confusing as there were few directions given to us as we waited our turn. The liine moved quickly and it was easier than expected. Once inside the test was done quickly and efficiently. Of course I may be telling another story had w had a full plane. Ours was the only plane deboarding at that time.
