This was a test for me - 6 sea days and one port day in Liverpool. Never had I done such cruise but I wanted to know if I would be ok with so much time on board before I book a bucket list transatlantic cruise in the future. In all we spent the full 7 days on board as we did not disembark at Liverpool as you needed to do an excursion and Liverpool is a city I already know well. As it turned out I could have done another 7 days on board!! I absolutely loved it.
This was my first cruise on Britannia, 2nd on P&O, and she really is a beautiful vessel. Not the best ship I have sailed on as it lacked the 'fun' element of Royal Caribbean and the style of MSC but it can certainly hold its own as being a fine cruise ship. To top it of we booked a butler serviced suite which really added to the experience.

Having a suite cabin made this trip, especially the lovely spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. Our butler, Simon, really looked after us made sure we had everything we needed including setting in room dining whilst we sailed away from Liverpool and lunch on balcony when we had beautiful weather. Our ice bucket was always full and there were always fresh limes in the fridge for drinks. We got on the ship first, and left last. Took breakfast everyday in Epicurean and enjoyed complimentary champagne and chocolates. Pure luxury!!
