Celebrity is our favorite line and Alaska one of our favorite destinations. Here is my ramblings and thoughts on a fabulous week. The highlight was definitely just being back on board with these hard-working happy crewmembers and then being able to see the northern lights which I’ve been waiting for my entire life.

Celebrity 7 Night Alaska Dawes Glacier Cruise sailing on 08/27/2021

We were extremely Satisfied. We recommend Celebrity to everyone and booked new future sailing while onboard. Barbra took good care of our future sailings.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

The renovations are modern and comfortable very pretty tons of storage space I really love the lighting elements. Our cabin stewards were fantastic. Cabin does have an obstruction if you look up as a deck above you jets out this is a problem on all of deck nine if you’re wanting to look up at waterfalls or glaciers. But it still was a great room with a comfortable bed the shower was very nice I like the shampoo conditioner and body wash and lotion. They had binoculars and umbrellas for us in aqua class. My husband appreciated the nightlight they had in the bathroom for safety. He travels with a CPAP machine and he’s used to sleeping on one side of the bed so that was a little challenging as there was not a plug on the other and our cabin Steward helped us with that.

Port Reviews

Juneau

Make sure to get out and see whales this is the perfect spot they generally guarantee that you’ll see a whale either humpback or orca. Mendenhall glacier is beautiful if you’ve not seen it before and nugget falls there’s the tram that’s fun to do any yummy place called Tracys crab shack that has excellent crab. There’s also a very fun thing called the whale project with a giant whale which looks real that you can get your picture at. You can also see the governors mansion.

Ketchikan

We really love walking around Ketchikan enjoying creek street watching the salmon depending on the time of year you’re visiting or take it vantage of the Misty fjords excursion a lot of our group enjoyed the deadliest catch excursion

Skagway

Skagway the train ride is beautiful if you can go all way to the Summit right now our bridge is out but starting again in 2022 we highly recommend doing the train
