We were very excited to be cruising again after countless cancelled cruises due to Covid! Celebrity required 100% of their crew to be vaccinated, as well as all passengers 12 and over. Passengers were also required to submit a negative Covid test within 72 hours of boarding the ship. The crew was constantly cleaning the ship, wearing masks and the buffet was no longer serve yourself. My husband and I felt very safe and comfortable on board. We were fortunate enough to have our "bid up" to a Royal Suite accepted four days prior to our cruise. WOW!! When we arrived at the cruise terminal and asked an employee where we should go to check in, being a Suite guest, we were blessed to receive a private escort around the lines to be processed (health check in, vaccination cards and test results verified, etc.). We were then met by the Retreat Manager, Luke! Luke is a fabulous young man, always friendly, professional and helping us out with some of the issues we experienced while on board, (we had discolored water while filing our tubs)! Our butler Alfred was OUTSTANDING!! He was always there for us, bringing us fresh hot coffee and danish in the morning, supplying plenty of ice and anticipating our needs! We have never had such great service from a butler before!! Janice, our room attendant, was equally as friendly and worked very hard keeping our cabin and deck clean and organized. We spent a lot of time at the Martini Bar and must say, Gede a bartender, was amazing!!! Looking forward to sailing again with Celebrity in December (just upgraded to another Royal Suite)!! We did find that the service in Luminae restaurant was not as good as a prior cruise on the Summit. The staff was very friendly, it just took a long time before our order was taken and our food was received. A few times our food was luke warm instead of hot. We were guessing since cruising just started up maybe they didn't have full staffing or maybe new people?? Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Cabin Review

Royal Suite

Royal Suite 6142 was wonderful. Very modern, loved the bar area and counter space. We enjoyed having the living room area with a sofa long enough for my hubby to be able take a nap. There is no nightlight in the bathroom so we had to leave the bright lights on, not very welcoming at 2:00 am in the morning. One thing that would have been nice would have been to have a small coffee maker in the room similar to a Keurig. The closet had plenty of hangers, shelving and four small drawers to store clothing. The bedroom had a closet that had shelves and a nice area for putting on makeup. The balcony was huge and came well equipped with a loveseat, padded chair, a couple small chairs, two loungers and a hot tub.
