Sail Date: Aug 2021

On Aug 14 2021 my wife and I along with her sister and husband arrived at Port Canaveral CT3 to board Mardi Gras at 1:40pm. We boarded at 3:50.

My boarding pass was marked “ESC” with an ink pen at the check in desk and we were detained for 2 hours. I was never given an explanation. It seems no one knew why. I had my vaccination card, passport and test 48 hours before with a negative result. All of my documents showed the same name and DOB. We were told I might not be allow to board. We are also Diamond Club members and told the lounge was closed, This caused more stress on our group because my wife was recovering from a total hip replacement 6 weeks prior to sailing, my brother-in-law has a heart condition and my sister-in-law has RA and has trouble walking and standing for long periods. After 2 hours we boarded with 10 minutes to spare.

Nothing has changed on the LIDO deck. Same food, same self-service and sticky tables. They did add sinks for hand washing but very few people used them. They pretended to enforce mask rules but too many people ignored the rule. VAC or NO-VAC no difference.

Cabin Review

Balcony, hard bed, bathroom too small

Over the ocean zip line cables were not tight and equipment was old, only helmit cams are allowed.

Nassau

Too commercialized
