We didn’t plan to be on the first cruise back after lockdown but after earlier cruises were cancelled it turned out that way. It was 7 nights from Southampton, sailed up to the Isle of Mull (anchored but didn’t go ashore) and back again.

Embarkation - very smooth, very safe. Directed in the luggage hall for a lateral flow test, and then through 2 rounds of health declarations. When our mobiles pinged with the result it felt like winning the lottery! I think it took a maximum of 45 mins from taxi drop off to getting to our cabin. We went straight to our cabin, watched the safety briefing video and then went to the muster station to get our cards swiped as proof we’d been there. Very smooth.

On board it was masks when moving about but you could take them off when you sat down (except in the theatre). Only 4 people allowed in the lift, which was fine most of the time, except after shows.

Cabin Review

Penthouse

Cabin 7080 - very quiet, very comfortable. Lovely big balcony. The steward and butler were excellent.

The bed and pillows were probably the best I’ve had on a cruise ship to date.
