My first cruise and from the 2 1/2 hour wait out on a sidewalk to get a pre-boarding antigen test to all of the extra charges, changes to the itinerary, etc etc I will never go on another Norwegian cruise. Our itinerary was supposed to be:

1 day at sea, day 2 Icy Strait Point, day 3 Skagway, day 4 Juneau, day 5 Ketchikan, day 6 Victoria. The CEO was on board and our itinerary became: days 1 & 2 at sea, day 3 Icy Strait Point for a ribbon cutting, day 4 Juneau, day 5 Ketchikan and then more at sea days. Skagway was canceled entirely and on shore stays were shortened. Staff was lovely, but were stuck with unhappy passengers due to the delays. Endless standing line to resolve billing issues, disembarking and reboarding at ports etc. Shame on the CEO. The specialty restaurants were wonderful, in particular Le Bistro, Onda by Scarpetta and Cagney’s. I’m sorry I bought the upgraded drink package though as I only had 2 glasses of wine per night which I was charged an upcharge for anyway. I bought the upgraded specialty dining package too, and could have gotten by on what was included, which was 2 nights.

Cabin Review

Aft-facing Balcony Stateroom

I’m guessing at my category. I know it was a level 9 veranda. It was okay for 1 person. Would have been a little tight for 2. It was kept very clean.

Port Reviews

Ketchikan

This was a nightmare for people wanting to shuttle into town. The port is unfinished and people waited in line for 2 1/2 hours to get on a bus. Same problem returning to the ship. Beautiful little town though.
