Ahoy sailor's!! So where to start.......a five star resort at sea. Sailors are the passengers. The entrance opens to the lift area and when you get to level six and seven a fantastic staircase links both levels. The restaurants on board are amazing with tasty food in every one. The servers have a Wikipedia knowledge of the menu each dish ingredients, history and origins of the food and wine. Pink Agave (Mexican) Gumbae (Korean BBQ) extra virgin (Italian) the wake (steak and fish) the test kitchen (experimental food) and Razzle Dazzle (vegetarian) all require bookings for lunch or dinner via the sailor app or sailor services. All menus on board can be accessed via a qr code on the tables or paper copies from your server. The bars throughout the ship cater for all types from shots to champagne to beer in the beer Haus to name a few. All charges on board are done via a quick scan of your smart band......which is also your room key! The room we had was called the terrace which was spacious with a balcony and rainforest shower. Everything in the room from TV, curtains and lighting controlled via a tablet. If you have tech fobia you may struggle on board but their are plants of happy and cheery staff always on hand to help you out.

A few things that could be improved ...the sailor app to include a map of the ship .....it is so big it's easy to lose your way or go in the wrong lift when trying to get around or to a restaurant. Some instructions in the room ie times for breakfast? How do you get the free drinks or coffee tea soft drinks? Information on the goodies in the room and that they cost (sleep kit, entertainment kit etc)? Ship eats app (room service app) could include some UK style snacks. I felt maybe the assumption was that everyone on board were used to cruising but this was all new to us on our first ever cruise. Entertainment - although trying to be extremely modern I think it will appeal to a very small percentage of the crew. Dual reality and teh two comedian shows were fantastic but the pop up entertainment and folktales etc was perhaps more niche!

Cabin Review

Sea terrace cabin with balcony. Entry via your wrist band and the cabin controlled via your room tablet - Aircon, lighting, curtains TV etc. Ample storage safe and hair dryer all in room. Bathroom brilliant with rainforest shower and second directional handle. Fridge in room along with water refilled daily or via the tablet. Could have done with some information on how everything works wasn't till day three when we worked out the do not disturb button! Sailor eats app good but could be refined with more snacky type foods available. Cabin can be reconfigured from bed to a sofa however we never bothered. Also a few items in room like a sleep kit that we presumed were complimentary however have discovered that these were chargeable so price lists or details of this would be beneficial.
