Sail Date: Jul 2021

We had a junior suite so we bypassed a very long line. They uploaded our vaccine cards and passports and we were on the ship within 10 minutes with our vaccine bracelets that we had to wear at all times. We used the Royal app and reviewed the muster drill on it so as soon as we boarded they sent us to the muster station to go over a few things and then gave us a sticker to put on our sea pass card and we went directly to our room. We were at the windjammer within half an hour of pulling into the port. After lunch we changed into our bathing suits and went to the solarium To enjoy the jacuzzi and pool. After that we spent the afternoon walking around and enjoying the ship. There were approximately 1100 passengers on board about 30%. We had early dinner which was super fast. That was great because they set sail at about 7:15. We enjoyed that from the helipad which is deck 4 forward up the stairs to the front. It was totally awesome! Then spent the rest of the evening in the casino which is always a good time!

The next morning we went to the windjammer for breakfast. They recommend reservations on the app but I never saw enough people to worry about that. They did have breakfast in the main dining room both days but we never went there. After a quick breakfast we went to Coco cay and spent the morning snorkeling. We brought our own snorkels and masks and they didn’t require vests. It’s a lot of fun. They have a sunken ship and other things to attract the fish. I was nervous when a stingray came really close but the lifeguard just laughed lol. We did see a couple barracuda. I swear the one under the dock has been there since 2005. After snorkeling we spent the rest of the day in the pool which is amazing and we hit the bar a lot in the pool. The food was ok. Not too many things to offer but I’m sure it’s hard just getting back into operation. It really was the perfect day at coco cay for us. Back on board we had dinner and hit the show Once Upon a Time which was really good The ask you to make reservations which we did but it did t seem full. You can make reservations all at once on the app once you get onboard.

The next morning we had an excursion to Blue Lagoon we did the vip beach day. The Bahamas are super serious about safety which I loved to see. Mask on end of story. They socially distanced everyone and we needed to be escorted if we wanted to shop. The part of the island we ended up on was super rocky and I wish they would have said that so we could have brought water shoes. But we had our snorkels so we managed around it. Also it was cashless so any souvenirs needed to be purchased by credit card. It was a great day and there was only one other ship in Nassau so the ferry pulled right up close to the ship. If you were vaccinated you could go into the shopping area but if not you needed to go back to the ship. We had dinner and went to the casino. See the trend? Lol.
