Had never done a Mississippi cruise. Heard about ACL as a premium cruise. To make it concise - nice ship, nice cabin, mostly nice clientele, good small ship entertainment, good excursions, good food, good ports,, terrible dining service, terrible bar service, unusable internet, poor problem followup, and no one answers phone. On balance, you can find better cruise lines.
I really tried to like this cruise, but to be fair to other lines and customers, I can't. The very first minute we entered our cabin, the TV didn't work. Staff came and couldn't get it to work properly, did they would come back, but never did. The button on the toilet was impossibly hard to press, and no one ever came to fix that. The wifi was useless; you literally never could use it for anything, so you had to use cellular service, which is spotty on the Mississippi. But the dining service was the worst of all. They were short staffed, so you waited for a server, you waited for your food, the wrong food came, the wine service was intermittent. And the people working the bars didn't know how to make basic drinks like martinis. I know the staff was me because of the pandemic, but you still have to train your staff, and it seemed that they didn't.
