Ship very small by today’s standards and not kept up. Old and outdated in decor and maintenance. Upholstery outdated and in need of repairs. Ship looks 20 years older than 2003 when it was launched. Shows the wear and tear throughout the ship. They only had 18 months to get it ready. This was the first cruise post covid. ATM in casino broke the entire cruise. Only way to get cash on the ship is charge it to your room from the casino cashier which was closed a lot of the time even when the casino was open. Asked front desk multiple times if I could get a cash advance on my card and they repeatedly sent me to the casino. Casino very aggressive to get you to gamble. Food lousy except for one king crab dinner I had in my room. Nothing to do except lectures and ballroom dancing for 80 plus crowd. Service and crew were excellent. Otherwise I would have rated this cruise a 1. My Butler Jean from Brazil was the best part of the cruise. Talking to him and watching him Work his magic with hospitality and service with a smile. Great human being.
There is no outside bar. That is a big problem for me. I enjoy sitting at an outdoor bar. Of course they will bring you a drink to your lounge chair but it is not the same. I like talking to people at a bar and an outside bar. I was in a penthouse with verandah. Way way overpriced. Better experience in the MSC Yacht Club or Norwegian Haven. Half the price same amenities and service and better food. I heard many long time Crystal Cruises say it is not the same and getting cheaper with food and other ways to save money. The line is in trouble financially and it shows. They are not maintaining their ships. Needed paint work everywhere. Rust on metal surfaces. Entertainment boring and lousy. Lectures everyday all day. Who in the world wants to sit inside and be lectured to when it’s sunny and 80 degrees outside. At night ballroom
Dancing for an 80 plus crowd then at 11 everyone goes to bed. Ship was so small I learned the entire deck plans and ship in the first 15 mins I was on board. I will not be back
Penthouse with Verhandah. Bull. There is no Penthouse. It is barely 400 sq ft. More like a large balcony stateroom. Nothing special and definately not suite material
Boring. Basically uninhabited or very low population. No civilization infrastructure lack of restaurants and basics like ATMs. Must have cash. Went to Gordon’s beach. Pristine. Nice. Like a deserted island if that is what you are looking for. I was not. Hoping for a Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville. This you will not find on Long Island. Despite the lack of basic services and infrastructure. Real Estate and everything else is expensive and way overpriced as is typical in the Bahamas in general. You don’t have to worry about crime. There are no people. Lol
