Our first cruise since May 2019. Not our favorite itinerary, but an opportunity to see a new ship on one of our favorite lines. Leaving from Fort Lauderdale was also a plus. The ship is a beauty with many new features for Celebrity. The app makes all things so simple: checking in, health questionnaire, muster/safety info, dinner menus and reservations, activities onboard, shore excursions, etc. King-sized bed was so comfortable. Cabin storage space ample for one week. The lower passenger capacity was an advantage in anytime dining, finding chaise lounges poolside, tables in Oceanview café, seats in the theatre. I would have loved a drawer below the mirror in the cabin itself, it would have been the perfect place for make-up. Otherwise our only disappointment was the cabin view-obstructed and ugly. Dining was exceptional. We loved four choices of main dining rooms with regional emphases. There were ample choices from old favorites to new dishes. Entertainment was different each evening: some we loved, others were not our cup of tea which is understandable as there are many ages and preferences onboard
We booked a “balcony” but ended up with a large porthole. The top of the porthole was always open, the bottom half was glass. Had we known that “obstructed” was this view, we would not have accepted it. I did do research online but never found #7305. If you prefer to sunbathe on your balcony, I am not sure any verandah with the new design on Edge would accommodate.
