This cruise was selected because we had not been exposed to the Southern States along the Mississippi We were interested in learning about the history of the South and more about the Civil War and the plight of the slaves. This itinerary offered what we were looking for. We explored plantations, cemetaries, historical sites, modern day and antebellum architecture. The buses provided for these excursions were large and comfortable and the tour guides were well briefed on the history of the sites we visited. We enjoyed the shuttles around the cities we stopped at. We got a taste of life today along the river

The crew and the staff on the boat were more than helpful. Once we boarded the ship we felt completely pampered. Everything we encountered was pleasant - from the accommodations to the entertainment as well as the food and beverages. Everything was First Class It was a trip of a lifetime
