This was the first of two cruises on the American Duchess starting in Louisville with the turn around in St Louis then traveling on to Memphis. What a wonderful experience! The trip starts with an overnight stay in an included excellent hotel and then included transportation to the boat. So nice to start with a good night’s rest. The best service, best crew, great entertainment. I just can’t say how much we enjoyed our 2 weeks on the Duchess. We spent the first week in an inside cabin followed by a week in a veranda suite. Both cabin were wonderful, much bigger than we expected and both included a full sized bathroom. Everyday there was an included excursion with numerous options for tour times. Some of the highlights included the Bluegrass museum in Owensboro, the River Museum in Paducah, and Fort Pillow on the Mississippi. If you are looking for a great experience on an American River this is a great company to look at. We can’t wait to sail with them again!
