Cabin: Junior Suite

We chose this cruise as Our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration, we chose FO as it promotes itself as a family run concern, but they are only interested in making money. Most of our disappointment does not particularly concern the quality of the cabin(we upgraded to a junior suite), the cuisine or entertainment, all of which were only acceptable, nothing particularly outstanding. The Phillopino staff were all very polite and helpful. The highlight of the entertainment were the Phillipino orchestra that played most evenings. We did not take a drinks packages, because we are not particularly heavy drinkers, but the meagre measures served, at an extortionate prices, would certainly be a guaranteed cure for an alcoholic.

Our main disappointment lays not with the cruise but with the protocol of the company.

Due to the fact that the cruise we were taking, from Limassol in Cyprus, via the Med through to Dover, was actually the tail end of a 6 month Grand Voyage, that had travelled in close proximity to areas where the COVID 19 virus had already gained a hold, our part of the cruise from Limassol should have been cancelled. It wasn’t cancelled by the company, despite several phone calls, voicing our concerns, because FO did not want to lose the money. If we had chosen to cancel, we would have lost the whole price of the cruise.
