I chose this cruise because of the price, but I did not realize that everything you wish to do aboard the ship is either completely packed, or costs a fortune. People would sleep in the atrium in order to maintain their seat for the next event. If there was an event they did not wish to participate in, they remained in their seat without participating. It was quite frustrating.

The best option is always to walk the decks and appreciate the view. But alas, they closed the decks down all the time. They forgot to open the decks when arriving in a port, but you could see the crew out on deck taking photos while we were stuck behind the plexiglass on the pool deck. For a fairly new ship, I was not impressed with the organization of space. I won't be sailing Norwegian again. Please consider all additional costs when budgeting for your next cruise.

Port Reviews

Rotterdam

A shuttle bus takes you directly to the market, and returns you to the ship. No additional costs.

Southampton

There is a bit of a walk to the shopping district. Not a lot to do there, but it was pleasant.

Ponta Delgada

This port was cancelled. There was another ship arriving at the same time that was piloted in, but the captain of our ship announced over and over again that we arrived on time and were not able to make port because of this other ship.

King's Wharf

I love Bermuda. I would recommend a tour here, but I have been so many times I just enjoyed the local fort. Who knew they trained dolphins there? A really cool place to visit.

Great Stirrup Cay

I you don't sign up for a tender when you arrive on the ship, you are in trouble. By the time our tender was called to go ashore, there was less than an hour before mandatory return time and the meal available on the island was already closed down. Very poor organization again on Norwegian's part.

Miami

We were sick as dogs by the time we arrived in Miami, and we were forced to disembark to go through customs. We sat with all the other coughing and hacking passengers for 5 hours while they got everyone through the system and cleared to return to the ship.

Le Havre

The transportation system is inexpensive and easy to navigate. Hold on to your ticket, as they sometimes have police on the trains who verify.

Cobh (Cork)

No ship excursion needed here. The town is absolutely beautiful, and you can visit all of the museums and titanic exhibits quite easily. Relax and enjoy the area.
