We chose this cruise as we had previously sailed with Celebrity in 2018 and were very impressed with the ship, facilities and the food. We also wanted the opportunity to sample The countries in the agenda.
Firstly the ship and amenities were good. The only issue with the facilities was the open air cinema was on the only deck in the ship that did not have a lift so having a mobility issue was unable to attend any of the film showings.
Generally the food was OK but was never hot. Whilst it is accepted that there would be a mixture of both nationalities and religions was very disappointed that there was no Christmas meal as such. The ship had a Christmas Tree and a Father Christmas but no attempt a Christmas meal,
One of the delights of our previous cruise was treating ourselves to a meal in the Tuscan Grill. As it was my Birthday on Christmas Day my wide decided to treat me to a meal in the Tuscan Grill. Firstly they corralled the half dozen tables of dinner into one corner of the restaurant. Bearing mind they were charging £50 excluding drinks with the exception of the desert the food was appalling so much so we eventually got a complete refund.
:The other major issue was the bars ran out of a numbers of the beers and the basics of soft drinks. The ship arrived in Dubai New Years Eve and no effort was made to replenish stocks for New Years Eve so drinks available were limited so spoiling the evening.
Have said this the staff in the bars were really good even to the extend to searching other bars to give their customers got what they wanted.
My other grip is that in some cases ports listened were not where the ship docked resulted in significant journey times to get the town. Example was Phuket.
Cabin very good. Cabin was a disabled cabin so a little more room
