This was conveniently scheduled. We love Viking cruises. The dining was excellent. Service in all areas was exceptional. The excursions were interesting and well organised. Our DV6 cabin was well laid out and there was enough storage for all of our clothing and personal items. We are impressed by the bathrooms in Viking ships - both the ocean and the river cruising longships. Again, there is sufficient space for all of our assorted toiletries and bathroom essentials. Embarkation and debarkation were well organised and efficiently run - no hangups. The Airport transfers were both handled smoothly. The choice of flights from Newark to Barcelona was maybe a little questionable. The flight back, London to Newark, was excellent. The excursions were all interesting and informative (maybe a little repetitive - Spain seems to be paved with ancient Roman ruins). Our precruise extension was highlighted by the Hotel - Nobu Barcelona - I hope that it stays in their offerings.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We just loved Barcelona. It is on our list to be revisited - in fact we are already signed up for a Viking Rome to Barcelona cruise.

Cartagena (Spain)

Lovely city.

Portsmouth (England)

It seems to be a really nice place to visit and live.
