Our family decided to return to cruising after a 9 year break. This was our sons first cruise and we was doing on the same ship we spent our honeymoon on 15 years earlier. We were excited to see the changes that had been made especially how the ship had been “stretched”. The ship looked great overall but was definitely showing signs of age. We enjoyed the ship but did not notice the constant maintenance we had seen in her earlier days. The cabin was beautiful we stayed in a ocean view balcony and the cabin was great. A little cramped for three people but no problems. The dining onboard was OK the main dining room food was good but nothing special. The food seemed to be what you would get at the average banquet or buffet. We did eat in Chops grill one night and the food and service was excellent. The Wind Jammer was good but as expected crowded and chaotic. Entertainment was good the average cruise shows and games you would expect we ended up skipping most of them. The service was excellent had no problems with the staff. On this trip we visited Nassau and spent the day at Blue Lagoon Island. We did the dolphin encounter and would definitely do again next time in Nassau. We also visited the Pirate museum one of our favorite places in Nassau. Next we visited CocoCay pre perfect day. Most of the island was behind walls so the visit was a bit limited but still had a good time. Our third and final stop was Key West, FL. We spent the day site seeing and visiting the USCGC Ingham museum. This is an excellent museum ship to visit. Our son loved the ship so much we booked a trip on Symphony of the Seas in 2020. We will definitely do again.
