Sail Date: Mar 2020
Cabin: Club Veranda Stateroom

We chose this cruise because we had enjoyed the Pursuit/Captain Carl Smith on our previous cruise to Antarctica in January 2019,

We started our 21-day South American cruise 3/1/20. We enjoyed the ports of Punta Del Este Uruguay, Montevideo Uruguay, Ushuaia Argentina, and Punta Arenas Chile. Then our cruise got VERY interesting.

Our wonderful Capt. Carl Smith--Master of Azamara Pursuit announced to the ship that Countries were closing their ports to foreign travelers and that our cruise had to be suspended. We were assured that we would be taken care of no matter what happened. The cruise company made arrangements to refuel and bring on more food/drink onboard. Then we were notified that because we could not be assured of flights home or safety if we disembarked, they were going to cruise us through the Panama Canal and to Miami! Our cruise was to have ended at Lima Peru on March 23rd. Instead we arrived safely on March 30th in Miami Florida.

Cabin Review

Club Veranda Stateroom

Room stewards did a fantastic job of keeping the cabin clean. The bathroom (shower especially) is small. I showered several times in the Gym shower.
