We picked this cruise because of the timing, the price and the destination. It was exactly what we wanted! My aunt turned 60 and I turned 30 while on this cruise. It was such a fun way to celebrate!
We had never done a Norwegian Cruise before (we have done other cruises) and so we thought we would give it a try. The shows every night were so much fun. We particularly enjoyed the cruise ship cast who put on the singing and dance shows, they were fantastic! It was nice to have entertainment to look forward to every night.
The food was pretty good. We enjoyed having many options and the Garden Café was always a great place to grab something to eat. A few standouts... the shrimp burger in the Versailles Dining room (give it a try, seriously), the chocolate mouse (also in Versailles), the crepes in the Garden Café, and the whole dinner in Cagney's Steakhouse was good! We also had the drink package and sipped pretty much every imaginable drink, all good.
The only small complaint would be the cakes/desserts... most were too dry and lacking flavor. I suspect this may have to do with catering to a low sugar diet? Or the logistics of being at sea? But, like I mentioned we found the crepes and the mouse!
The service on this ship was excellent. We found a staff member whom we absolutely loved! Christian was top notch. He always greeted us warmly and was quick with a drink. Super nice guy and really quite talented! He made our cruise that much more enjoyable.
Another standout for us was Una. She led many of the fun games and activities on board. She got to know us a little, as my aunt loved playing all the games in the Bliss Lounge. Turns out, my aunt and Una also shared the same birth date!
Overall a great cruise experience. We will be back again Norwegian!
It was what we expected from an inside cabin. The closet space was great, although a couple more hangers wouldn't hurt. Bathroom was decent. We are not too picky, it's a place to sleep.
This was just a transfer to Old Town, via boat. The view coming in from the water is spectacular. Easy access to Old Town once the boat docks. Can take any return boat. Easy. Only drawback was... on the way in, our captain didn't narrate anything we were seeing. On the way back, a different captain gave really interesting facts. So I guess it depended on the captain?View All undefined undefined Reviews
Hired a local guide who was excellent! His passion for his country was great.
We took the bus tour from the ship that dropped us in Antigua and let us explore on our own. This is a beautiful city and should not be missed!
We booked an independent tour from the area before departure. We got to see and do so much!
We stayed in Fort Lauderdale for the night and took a shuttle to the port in the morning.
We took a boat out to Roqueta Island. Great views and so very relaxing!
We have been here before so we just hung around the Marina.
