We were looking for a trip in the US and this one on the Intracoastal Waterway was a good deal compared to the same trip on the same boat with Road Scholar. Based on reviews on this site we weren't sure what condition the boat would be in. The boat had new carpeting and paint and was in good shape. The stateroom was good sized and comfortable. Our only issue was that the shower wasn't working for the first couple of days. A chat with the hotel manager took care of that. The food was excellent and plentiful. We liked the option for getting half servings. All alcohol is included, which isn't always a good thing. The shore excursions were pretty good. The local guides were entertaining. When we signed up for this cruise we thought that the shore excursions were included given the higher price of the cruise, but they weren't. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few hiccups due to this cruise being the first of the season. The only issue that we had with the trip was boat security. Granted this was a small ship cruise but there weren't any ID checks when passengers returned to the boat. We're used to tours where the leader makes obvious counts at the beginning and end of the excursion. We never noticed that happening with this company. The age group of the passengers was 60+. The tours and activities were geared to that age group. We would travel with them again.
