We chose this Celebrity cruise based on prior experience sailing on Reflection, which was extremely good. However, we were disappointed with the Silhouette. The ship itself is nice, and while there are many good staff, we were surprised by the number of staff that were dismissive and rude. The food was average at best. Service and standards were definitely not up to par with what we experienced on the Reflection. The childrens play area for 3 and under had minimal operating hours. We returned to the port of miami twice, each time sailing over 10 hours back to the port for medical emergencies. Due to this we did receive a large onboard credit and a promised 25 percent cruise fare refund (although it has yet to post to anyone's bank account) which was much appreciated. Spa experience was very good, despite front desk staff actually scolding us for booking a promotion, stating they had no availability for the facial portion, as if it were our responsibility to manage their schedule. We were actually ignored more than once at various bars when attempting to place drink orders ( bars were not busy at the time) and staff at buffet was often dismissive. Future cruise office staff was beyond rude, which cemented our decision not to book a future cruise at this time, and definitely not on the Silhouette.
