Been on 8 Princess cruises, this time wasnt that great, the ship was tatty, on our balcony (B531) the wooden rail was loose, the toilet seat was broken, the hairdryer cut out every minute or so. There was a lot of rust. Theatre shows dire, the dining rooms menu hasnt changed since our first cruise and above all we didnt go round Cape Horn as the Captain told us 50 minutes before we should have sailed past we werent going to as "it would have been uncomfortable"... everyone paid a lot of money for this cruise, rhe main reason for booking it was to see Cape Horn. We will be doing this cruise again but it wont be on Princess. Passengers expected it to be rough. personally I feel the captain was far to PC, he should have said get comfy, dont walk round and enjoy an experience you will never forget. The port lecturer was amateurish and shore excursions a total rip off. We paid 100usd on shore for a trip that would have cost 399.95 with Princess. We like Princess and do have orher cruises with them booked but in future they will not be our first choice. The art auctions were just a hard sell and took FAR too long to get going. Prices for photographs were exceptionally high, we never saw anyone buy any ( 169.95 usd for a 16 x 20 ) on the plus side the entertainment team were terrific. No final night party with balloon drop, told it was because Primcess were an environmentall company and werent using single use plastics.. didnt stop them using dozens of large plastic bags for the egg drop, printing hundreds of plastic based photographs no one purchased and printing thousands of A4 flyers for the shops and the spa... out of control hypocracy
