The good

Beautiful ship, lovely decor. Uncrowded, always places to sit. Wonderful library. Spotless cabin, plenty of storage, tea and coffee facilities and wonderful beds/pillows. Food was very good on the main dining room, in the pub, and reasonable in the buffet.

Shows, OK but not up to standard of other ships. Embarktion and disembarkation quick and organised.

Bad

Trying to get early dinner sitting although requested when booking 8 months prior. The problem is the age of the guests mostly in 80’s, 90’s of course all want the early sitting, then the early show. You can walk through the ship after 9.00pm and think you are on a ghost ship. The type of entertainment at night, cello, violins, ballroom dancing may be a big factor. Certainly put us to bed. And daytime, whist, darts, canasta, bowls, croquet etc

The ship could be classed as a floating retirement village. The high tea a major disappointment, held in the lounge with cold scones and stale sandwiches on offer, no pomp or glory!

The shower in the cabin has to be the smallest shower of any of the 27 cruises to date, banged my head daily.

This cruise is for the very elderly (I’m in my 70’s) .

Cabin Review

Balcony

Spotless, plenty of storage, tea and coffee facilities, great beds and pillows, tiny shower with one small shelf that did not hold your shampoo and soap. When ship was moving rapidly, walls creamed loudly making it difficult to sleep. Easy access to lifts.
