We chose this cruise for the opportunity to see several landscape/wildlife areas of south america that we have always wanted to see. Tores del Paine National Park in Patagonia Chile was our primary reason for this cruise. We have cruised with Princess on four previous occasions- Panama Canal, Alaska, Caribbean and Rome to Athens. We have only had minor problems with Princess and thus the reason for choosing Princess for our South American adventure..
Unfortunately, this cruise with Princess was a huge disappointment because of numerous problems with shore excursions as well as repeated misleading or false information given to us by multiple Customer relations representatives and 800 Princess operators.
The food, cabin service and entertainment were very good to excellent. Our cabin steward Frango was the best we have had in all of our cruising days. Our mattress was totally worn out with a large sag in the middle. The first night was terrible due to the mattress but then Frango figured out how to reinforce the middle so that we could sleep.
We were told that we were getting a mini-suite with a balcony but that is not what we received. It was very nice and roomy, but not what we were told we were getiing.
