We love Princess cruises and especially the Regal. Her crew is fantastic. The crew must be the reason we go back to the Regal. Our latest cruise on the Regal was to St Thomas and St Marten. We have taken this cruise previously and just enjoy being on this ship. We cruise with family and usually book a balcony cabin.
On this past cruise, the Regal was not allowed to dock back in Fort Lauderdale due to two crew members who had been on the Grand Princess. These cruise members could have been tested Sunday (March 1) while we were in Fort Lauderdale, but the CDC did not make up their minds until March 8. The Captain kept us informed throughout the day as to the progress of our disembarkation. From the time the Captain first let us know (before 6 am) until we were able to disembark (10pm), the exceptional crew went into overdrive.
The crew was obviously well versed in what to do in a situation like this. Some of the precautions were removing the salt and pepper and sugar from the tables. The crew came around and dispensed them as required. They also not only wiped down the tables when quests left, but wiped the chairs as well. Despite their lack of sleep, to a person, they were smiling - all day - and doing their very best to make us comfortable and at ease. Princess takes care of her passengers in a way that would be hard pressed to duplicate. Kudos to Princess. Cannot wait to cruise again with them.
Although located just off the elevators, very quiet room. Well kept by our steward Jose.
We usually stay on board at Princess Cay. It makes for a quiet day.
