Cabin: Large Outside Stateroom (fully obstructed views)

We are seasoned Carnival cruisers looking for a change, we are both retired in our mid 60's We cruised Oosterdam out of San Diego to Mexican Riviera. We are now hooked on HAL!

We drove to San Diego the day before departure and utilized a park n'cruise at Comfort Inn with free shuttle to/from the port. We walked the boardwalk at the San Diego Harbor and had a nice meal at Mitch's on the waterfront.

Cabin: we booked an obstructed ocean view room as we were testing the waters to see if we would like HAL. The room was very spacious, the couch was comfy, the bathroom had a tub and plenty of storage all the way around. An added plus was the automatic night light in the bathroom. Imagine our surprise when we were in Cabo San Lucas and the life boat outside our window was lowered to be used as a tender….what a view.

Cabin Review

Large Outside Stateroom (fully obstructed views)

Very spacious with lots of storage. Large TV, refrig, hair dryer, comfy couch. Bathroom was large with full size tub and tons of storage. Elemis products in bathroom as well. Bathrobes available for use all week. Towel and linens were top grade.

Port Reviews

San Diego

We strolled along the San Diego Harbor boardwalk and enjoyed a tasty meal at Mitch's on the harbor waterfront.
