We had saw the reviews of the MSC Seaside and this being a newer ship we wanted to cruise. The timing was excellent.
Our first issue was the failure of MSC to disclose out Balcony was on top of the Circue show. So each day when they started their rehearsals in mid afternoon until after 11 each night the walls would vibrate from the noise. We went to Customer Service who said they would investigate????? They sent a Representative to our room and he agreed. We went back down to Customer Service. The Representative seemed distracted and uninterested in our situation. We asked for Manager who came and we spoke to. He advised us he knew the problem exists and they get complaints on each trip. They had no other rooms available. He said there may be one in a couple of days. After 2 days they transferred us to a obstructed view room. No I am sorry for miscommunication or even a perk.
Second issue was their specialty restaurants package. We were use to these where you can order off the regular menu. On this ship they give you 3 choices from a small menu, starter, entree, dessert. There were 4 choices in each category. We did not even eat at Seafood as they did not have a shrimp dish on the menu.
Cabin was acceptable. Balcony a little small. Shower as good or better than most.
The only issue with room was it was on top Cirque shows and from Mid afternoon until after 11 the walls would vibrate from the music below.
Very nice. Very cold the day we were there but enjoyable. The best restaurant on any Cruise line island.
