For people who are not used to paying for water in the 'free' restaurants, this is not for you. You can only get free water from the buffet restaurant. Tea and coffee only free flow in morning and tea time.
They do have some packages for drinks, but it's only worth it if you're a fan of alcohol. Wifi on board is quite weak in the cabin but good in the lounge.
Dining wise it'd say the restaurants don't cater much to a very Asian stomach. Mainly western options. If you can appreciate five kinds of chees yes go for it. My mom went mostly to the buffet because she cannot eat very salty food. Desserts were ok, maybe a little repetitive. Personally I prefer dining options onboard Carribbean.
Cabin was well designed and regularly cleaned. Some odd smell in the bathroom though so keep the door closed. Last day or two some construction was ongoing I think? Wood shaves were strewn over the balcony. Ship has very pretty interior and facilities.
good facilities and fast line to board
extremely hot, even worse than singapore except minus the aircon. also not very clean if i look carefully. didnt try the excursion by the cruise by hired our own local driver who were not aggressively marketing in your face. very friendly, non-pushy and laid-back locals. many to see (sad that the cable car wasn't operational due to CNY celebrations) and i wish we berthed longer there.
extremely far from city center and the shuttle bus service was a rip off. hired our own grab at one third the price. nothing at the harbour and long unsheltered walking distance to the Resort World hotel for our grab.
unlike langkawi its very near civilisation activities. cons is that its ridiculously packed with people trying to drag you into tours and whatever tourist stuff. not the best for free and easy preferring people who don't like being tugged at from various angles. the beach was super windy, i barely stood half an hour there and i went back sandy head to toe and with irritated eyes.
