Sail Date: Feb 2020

We mainly decided to try Celebrity for the first time because of the reviews we had read of this ship (Summit) and because of the itinerary, plus the fact that these were the dates we were looking for.

We were not disappointed. The ship is beautiful. Everything looks so new & is sparkling clean. The colors are light & fresh, including the carpeting, etc. A favorite spot was the solarium. That pool is wonderful, especially after a day out touring in the heat & sun!

The Oceanview Cafe (buffet) was amazing. Everything you could think of, plus it was all spread out into different stations with plenty of seating & windows, making it feel so open--not like many of the crowded buffets on some ships we have been on in the past. They even had made-to-order pasta during the day & omelets for breakfast.

Cabin Review

The newly refurbished cabins are great. Even with an inside cabin, we had more than enough storage room for our belongings. The spaces are so well planned out. The beds were VERY comfortable, bathroom & shower were also good. Our cabin steward took good care of us, while not being intrusive.

One thing we missed was being able to set the TV to the ship's webcam overnight, so that we could see when the sun came up & when we were entering the ports.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We came in early and toured Old San Juan on our own. We enjoyed the city, the forts and the beautiful beaches.

St. Lucia

We took a taxi (Rodney's Tours & Taxi Service) from the port to Reduit Beach. Our driver was very informative & pointed out many interesting sites on the island. He also picked us up at the predetermined time to return us to the port. We rented chairs & an umbrella & had a bite to eat at Spinnaker's on the beach. The beach was beautiful!

St. Thomas

Still more beautiful water and beaches. Took a taxi to Sapphire Beach, where we took our favorite photo of the trip. It was a long drive, since the driver dropped some people off downtown first. Much better trip on the way back. Did a little shopping in the port before returning to the ship.

Antigua

Another beautiful beach, even though it rained while we were there. Took a taxi from the port.
