Had an opportunity to do a cruise this year. This was a deal with Sunwing vacations. First of all I’ve been on other cruises to the Caribbean on Holland, Princess and Carnival. Most of our vacation south are at 4.5-5 star resorts so we are familiar with quality and standards. This cruise even with a few issues along the way with no stopping at Jamaica or Cayman Island ( this one I really wanted to stop and see) we still made the best of the situation. The meals we had in the restaurants and buffet were good. The drink package was fine for what they offered. The staff and it didn’t matter if they were the early morning cleaning crew, the cabin staff, restaurant servers or bartenders, everyone was very pleasant and always said hi with a greeting. After reading some of the negative comments posted from this trip I talked to my wife and friends we travelled with and we didn’t see the same issues. Matter of fact the complete opposite and wondered if we were on the same ship. It’s funny to see that many on the complaints people had I didn’t see too many of them mentioning that this trip got $200 credit on their account plus a “FULL” cruise refund. Really how big were their issues? So when people read comments about trips sometime you have to review many of the negatives and also the positive ones to help you determine a choice of how and where you spend your vacation. I felt MSC went above and beyond on satisfying their guests for this trip.
Cabin was more than adequate for us to stay in and used remembering that it’s a ship and not a hotel room.
