Enjoyed 9 nights with my husband and two college age kids fresh off finals and ready for a relaxing vacation! We had sailed on EOS in 2003 and loved it then. We also loved this trip. The crew was fantastic, destinations were great and food was good. My d celebrated her 19th b-day on board and the crew did such a great job of making it special. EOS is in good shape and looked much the same as in 2003. Loved sailing out of Bayonne too - it was SO easy, but on and off. We had two rooms directly across the hall from one another. My h and I had a balcony and the kids had a promanade view. They loved that and even for college kids seemed to be endlessly fascinated with waving to the folks on the Promenade (go figure). My biggest fear was the water being rough going out of NJ but I think we were extremely lucky and had a very smooth sail. One tip to pass on. I was late booking our excursions and by the time I got to it, the Atlantis excursion we wanted was sold out. What we all really wanted to do was enjoy their water park during our day there. Somewhere online I read about the Comfort Suites in Paradise Island. We booked a room there for the day (never saw the room by the way). They are located right next to the Atlantis and you get full privledges at the Atlantis if you stay at CS. It cost $434 total with tax (which was substantial, without tax and fees the room was $313!). Even though it was expensive it was still cheaper than the excursion for 4 which would have been around $600. My kids say it was the highlight of our trip so it was well worth it. We got a cab at the port ($4/pp/each way) and when we told the driver we were going to CS he said "oh, you know the secret way to save money, huh?". The water park was awesome, but it really wiped all of us out! I thought we would have be carried back onboard and it was the only night we all missed dinner, just too exhausted to eat! Just thought I would pass this tip along since it really saved me - it was the only thing the b-day girl wanted! One slight criticism of RCI is that there seems to be a gap with kids, my kids ages. They are too old for the kids club, yet too young to drink yet and enjoy the club scene. So evenings were kind of boring for them. My h and I loved the shows, but the kids seemed to think they weren't for them (except for the comedians they had a couple of night which they loved). I think RCI could do more for the 18-21 year age group, but it is a small criticism. Overall we all had a great trip and can't say enough about how wonderful we were treated onboard.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

Loved this location onboard - it was quiet (which I think was rare I'm afraid to say), didn't feel any movement in the ship (which was a big concern for me since I do get motion sickness). My children had a promanade view room which they loved. However, it was much smaller than our room across the hall and without daylight felt even smaller. However, as the travel agent had recommended it was great for kids - they loved sitting on the window seat and looking out at the parade the last night!
