Thought the Pearl was a nice ship. We had a nice state room with wonderful housekeeper and steward. Ports of Call were great. My only concern was the food. I felt the food on the ship was the most inferior I had ever experienced in the 6 cruises I have been on. That said, they have restaurants aboard that you can pay an additional fee to dine in. My experience in those venues was positive, except we had to pay additional for the "good food" you expect on a cruise. I suspect that the less than wonderful food that is included in your fare is less than wonderful on purpose hoping that you will opt for the restaurants so you can pay more money to the cruise line.

I thought the cruise director and the staff of the entire ship was good.

My other note that I made was the silk floral arrangements on the boat looked like a child had put them together! I come from a floral background so my eye is more critical on these things than the average person; however, they were sinfully ugly.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Cabin was nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Loved the fact that the drapes really had great darkening effect on room. Had a mini suite and was very pleased with it. Had a very nice sized bathroom with shower and tub for a ship.
