Second time on the Sunrise with a different itinerary. The CD was Erin and she cannot compete with the energy level Chris the Flying Scotsman had on our 1st cruise. The weather was bad the first two days, so some of the shows could only do the singing part of their performance. High winds & rough seas are no fault of the cruise line, so we took our Dramamine and enjoyed ourselves. There are so many things that are different on this ship, compared to others I have been on, from the deck layouts to the way they handle debarkation.
The staff in the Cafe and MDR were fantastic.
There were no lounge chairs in the pool decks after 9am on Sea Days. There was barely room to walk as chairs were all over the place.
Our balcony had no "roof" since it was the very top deck below the Serenity area. It made for great star watching but no so great when they rinsed the deck above us. Also, we heard the chairs being dragged on the deck above us, every morning around 5 am. Our room steward was awesome but wont book that location room again.
Embarkation was very fast and easy. Even with having to fill out health questionnaire before boarding.
Our whale watching excursion was cancelled due to weather. We enjoyed the day at Jacks Shack instead
We enjoyed the port. We love the Sky Bar.
