The crew at all levels where charming and professional and made us feel genuinely valued. Cabin, ship layout and facilities were, for us, an ideal balance as were the passenger numbers. Food, although not of Michelin standards was in our view, more enjoyable and the options satisfactory. The negatives are minor in the context of the cruise but could easily be corrected:-
Guests repeatedly felt it necessary to share their video phone calls in public areas including restaurants. Such rude and intrusive behaviour proved an unpleasant intrusion for the surrounding guests just to satisfy their selfish manners. Why not just go to their cabin and why does Viking to address this?
Viking dress code is already exceptionally 'relaxed' yet many felt inclined to ignore the requested attire which demonstrated contempt for other guests, the immaculately presented crew and their surroundings. Again, Viking chose to ignore their own requirements. Surely those paying well over $15K for a cruise can afford a respectable shirt and shoes?
