A nice ship for Suite Class. The Retreat with the Luminae restaurant was basically a "ship in a ship" experience. Our cabin was an S1 Sunset Aft - 12260.
We went to four Specialty Restaurants on a 7 night cruise and afterwards decided we could have stayed at Luminae every night and been very happy. Le' Petit Chef and Eden restaurants were very good. Fine Cut was OK... nothing special (had poor seats looking out over center lobby with music blasting). The Roof Top Grill was poor; food OK, but the soot from stacks spotted my dress shirt and my wife's white pants. BEWARE... soot was also evident throughout the Roof Top Garden. The Roof Top Garden and Grill sit behind the stacks.
Overall, the public areas seemed chopped up and resulted in crowds congregating in the most open area - center lobby. Seemed to have a lot of wasted space in Eden and the Club... neither were very crowded.
Entertainment was nothing special. Eden a little odd and different. Everything else was your standard cruise fare with a slant toward modern stuff.
The Retreat Deck was fabulous; especially on Port days. Private bar, great service and snacks served throughout the day. Like having your own Club. The Retreat Lounge was very nice quiet area to relax and snack. The Luminae is well located with a spectacular view of the ocean with full length windows. Service though-out all the Retreat and in the Luminae was the best we ever experienced on any cruise.
It was great cruising with Captain Kate... she was a hoot! Our favorite Captain so far.
Bottom line; we would cruise on an Edge Class ship, but only with an open balcony and when it became a better value. It will be interesting to compare the Revolutionized Equinox in February 2021.
This was a corner Aft cabin with an open balcony with fabulous views at a premium price. Butler and Cabin Steward were excellent. Seating was OK but not very comfortable. The large balcony had 2 lounge chairs, 2 standard chairs, 1 large table and 1 small table. There was a coffee table in front of the couch. Storage overall seemed slightly less than the Solstice Class Sky Suite, but manageble. Bathroom was larger. Overall, we would book again, but they are in high demand and hard to book.
Nice introduction to Key West if you have never been. Approximately 5.5 miles of biking.View All 30 Bicycle Tour Reviews
