We wanted a relaxing trip home from New Zealand opposed to our regular method of flying. We intended to use the on board facilities for massages etc which were superb eventhough a little pricey compared to other cruise lines. The use of sauna, gymnasium and relaxation room was an added and unexpected bonus. The entertainment wanted and waned but the last night before diembarking in Sydney was excellent. The ship was a bit of old charm which suited our reason for cruising this time and was different to the normal hustle and bustle of other cruise lines especially at the buffet. The shops were uninspiring with products available for sale. Things like emery boards, panadol and other basics we not available for purchase. With staff from a global community, some had difficulty in expressing their happiness or welcoming attitude to cruise guests. Take the minuses from the pluses or visa versa, the cruise was what we wanted but we were happy to disembark in Sydney after cruising from Auckland.
