We booked this cruise for myself, wife and 6 year old daughter. The itinerary was the main factor in booking this cruise as we wanted to explore perfect day and take the little one swimming with dolphins in the Bahamas. We flew into Newark airport the night before the cruise and stayed in a hotel. The following morning was sat in breakfast when the ship popped up on the news. Some passengers had flu like symptoms and were being sent for tests, the rest disembarked. We had no news from RCL so assumed boarding was as stated. Arrived at the terminal and was then told no boarding till Saturday. Back to the Hotel to check back in. Had emails from RCL waiting for test results and would delay boarding till sat (Email confirming) Checked out again sat morning and waited for a further update from RCL. Update came through sat afternoon no boarding till Monday and stated their compensation package. Stayed in a different hotel as ours was full.

Test results came back from the CDC late Sat night and we could board Sunday and Monday, however we would now be sailing to Bermuda. Having never been and unable to get flights back to the UK we decided to stay.

Compensation package. $200 per night hotel costs, 50% cruise fair back as on-board credit (refundable any unspent), 50% future cruise credit.

Cabin Review

Obstructed Ocean View Balcony

Clean and tidy. Balcony was obstructive but only the bottom 1/4 of the balcony. Had the top of the lifeboat.

A nice cabin, plenty of space with a queen bed and sofa bed for daughter. Plenty of wardrobe space.
