We chose this cruise for the itinerary. My sister and I decided to take a cruise together. Overall, the service was great, the activities were fun and we had a great time. However, after reading the reviews of the cabins, I wasn't very optimistic about the accommodations.
We had a "large balcony cabin". The previous reviews were spot-on in terms of what to expect for that room. The cabin was long and skinny. There was so little room between the end of the bed and the vanity that we couldn't get a suitcase through and had to unpack at the entrance to the room and carry everything to the closet. And you have to turn sideways to get past the bed. Walls are curved. As such, the beds cannot be separated more than 2-3 inches, so if you aren't comfortable sleeping that close to someone....don't choose this type of cabin. The beds are short. I'm 5'4" tall and my feet easily touched the end of the bed. The "toilet stall" is very narrow and cramped. We chose to use the restrooms in the public lobbies for "number 2" as the ventilation left something to be desired, and it was really too small in there to practice appropriate hygiene. True, there is a curtain to pull across the shower area for privacy, but you still have to dry off outside the shower. The frosted glass leaves little to the imagination. You can't see details, but you can still see a naked person. The curved sofa made no sense, as it was uncomfortable to sit on, and faced the closet. It is supposed to be the third bed, but when it is pulled out it is still too short for an adult.
There is plenty of storage space. The balcony was huge and about the size of half the room. The cabin steward was amazing.
