What a disappointment. Destinations were changed at least three times and itineraries cancelled at the last minute due to the coronavirus. Independent travelers were treated like second class citizens and given NO ASSISTANCE whatsoever from the QM2's staff. Passengers were forced to pay thousands of dollars to change flights countless times. The ship offered NO help to those passengers who did not book flights with Cunard. What a rip off and what a scam Cunard runs.
The ship is showing signs of wear and tear and the staterooms reflect this. The inside cabins had worn carpeting and the floor of the shower stall was filthy. The housecleaning staff were rude and disrespectful and did not maintain the rooms well.
The King's Court buffet was mediocre at best. The selections did not vary often and vegetarian options were limited. In light of the worldwide spread of the coronavirus, good hygiene by staff and passengers was limited. Many people did not sanitize their hands and staff members did not change their gloves often enough.
Absolutely hideous. Would NEVER book with Cunard again. Paid a lot of money for
such a poor stateroom. The carpet was worn, shower stall filthy and housecleaning staff rude and arrogant. Avoid this ship at all cost!
Had an awful time with embarkation. Over a six hour delay. Typical for Cunard. No compensation, no amenities and awful customer service.
Excellent port of call. Easy to get around on your own via the Metro and walking. Great day spent walking across the city to Corte Ingles department store. Would revisit in a heartbeat.
