I had been on a River Cruise and loved it, it was perfect. So we decided to try a Viking Ocean Cruise. The best cruise ever. We have been on 5 different cruise lines before. No nickel-and-diming on Viking which we appreciated, no overpriced water, it was free. The alternative restaurants, especially the Chef's Table, was a wonderful experience. We also took 2 cooking classes on the ship with Chef Ryan as the teacher. We have decided to concentrate on Viking for our future cruises. Embarkation and disembarkation was the smoothest we have experienced. Loved the included shore excursions, we wanted to see how they were and we were very happy with them. Got to see a Mayan Temple so that can be checked of the bucket list. We did not explore Miami since we have been there before. The Terminal that Viking used was a small nice terminal. The interesting thing with the Viking Sky is that it looks exactly like the other Viking Ocean ships so if you been on one you will immediately be familiar with were everything is. Enjoyed the fact that there was NO Casino or Art show on the Viking Cruise. They came around with cold water the whole time that we were at the pool. Wine, beer and soft drink was included at lunch and dinner time. We opted for the Silver Package that was under $20/day.
Very nice cabin, good size bathroom with heated floors.
