  • Destination: the Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Balcony

We enjoy the Princess experience. We completed two, one week, back-to-back East/West Caribbean Cruises. Fort Lauderdale is easy to get to and the port handles multiple ships well. Embarkation using the pre-programmed Medallion went exceedingly well. Disembarkation went very well too. They're very well-organized. Very quick and easy! We feel that they are an exceptional choice in cruising and will continue sailing with them.

The Regal is not a mega ship. It's large, but still easy to get around.

Our cabin was clean and neat. Joey, our steward, was very good at his job. We were pleased that the shower was larger than what we've experienced in the past. Joey was always friendly and called us by name. Exceptional service!

We like traditional dining and having the same, expert waiters each evening. Our table for two was off on its own, exactly as we like. Menu items were varied and our choices were tasty and prepared to our liking. Shout out to Mark and Jonathan...you guys are the best! Your service was exceptional. Kudos too, to head waiter, Daniel!

Though we didn't participate too much, the entertainment and activities were varied and plentiful. Those we chose were very good and we had fun.

Shore excursions we chose were fun, especially the catamaran to St. John out of St. Thomas, the raft trip down the Martha Brae in Ocho Rios, and the Chocolate Seaside Workshop, tasting and wine pairing in Cozumel

Overall, we enjoy cruising with Princess. Their service is exceptional. Our next cruise will be Platinum level. We enjoyed this cruise so much we've already booked our next cruise after only being home a week!

Cabin Review

We enjoyed our cabin. It was located port side. It was pretty far forward, so was very quiet. Seas were for the most part calm, so not much movement. We were rocked to sleep each night. Joey kept our cabin very clean and neat. He accommodated us with extra hangers, ice every day, and wine glasses too. The shower seemed a bit larger than other ships we've been on. The balcony may have been a bit smaller than the past, but hard to tell.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

St. John Snorkel/Sail

Catamaran sail was lovely. Once there, had the option of snorkeling, swimming, and being taken to shore on an inflatable. Had enough time to enjoy the water. Drinks on the return were tasty and plentiful. Crew was great.

River Rafting

This was a gentle raft ride on the Martha Brae on long bamboo rafts with your own guide. Very nice and relaxing. Rode on a comfortable bus to the river so got to see some of the island with narrator/guide. Shopping opportunity at the end which seemed rushed...needed more time before being bussed back to pier.

Thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Made our own chocolate bar and then tasted different types of chocolate paired with wine. Was a great time.
