We selected this sailing date for my birthday and because of the Port of Miami’s proximity to home, just a 3-hour drive. MSC has the most beautiful ships we have sailed on.
MSC Yacht Club
Granted that MSC is not a luxury cruise line, but we consider the Yacht Club (YC) experience to be the equivalent to that of Ponant, Silversea, Regent Seven Seas, Viking Ocean and Oceania, the luxury lines we have sailed on over the past 5 years, hence the rating of “Luxury Cruise” for this review.
Cabin
Our category YC 1 suite was clean and even more spacious than those on Seaside and Divina. The bathroom was wall-to-wall marble and included plenty of the MSC brand amenities, “Med by MSC” with its unique perfume. There were plenty of Kleenex and dish cloths (contrary to what some have mentioned). Our wonderful butler, Pravin, made sure we had plenty of water and liquor. The mini bar was well stocked with liquor, wines, diet drinks and the snacks we preferred… even Bailey’s Irish Cream, a favorite of ours, was restocked as needed. The balcony include 2 small straight back chairs and a small table but no lounger.
Wonderful experience! Only a one hour private excursion in an air-conditioned van where we visited a sloth sanctuary using Charlie's Roatan Tours.
Beautiful island, YC lounge area, crew were wonderful
