We were thinking of cruising for a while and very hesitant about small spaces and too many people, etc. Good friends highly recommended Viking Cruises, so we researched the line and liked what we found.

We wanted warm breezes in February, and chose the West Indies Explorer cruise beginning in Puerto Rico. We were greeted with sunshine and smiles. All the Viking staff were so happy and upbeat, we were made to feel at home immediately.

The Viking Sea was spectacular, so well appointed with many areas to relax and enjoy the views. We loved the piano in the Atrium, the lectures, the onboard shops and the specialtyrestaurants, to name a few.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage. We had lots of drawer space along with a huge closet, which had 2 fluffy robes and slippers. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms beyond expectations. The shower was very spacious, with a shelf for shampoo and such. There were drawers, along with shelves and a supply of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom.

I was impressed with the cosmetic area built into the desk and the fridge with all the goodies.

Our steward was wonderful. Anything we needed all we had to do was ask.

We also enjoyed the balcony and the ever changing view, while sipping drinks as we left port.
