Reasons we chose this cruise: Destination, Spa options, cruise price We truly felt the ship was very nice, and very clean. We had more to do than time to do it! Our room steward (Luc) did an amazing job, twice a day or more the room was taken care of, fresh towels ect.! Our only concern here was the lack of storage space ? The spa services though pricey, where very nice. It was to great to have open access to the thermal area and we used it daily! The dine anytime was a great addition to our cruise! The help in the dine anytime area was amazing, meals were OK to great and if anything was not to our liking it was replaced quickly. Always very prompt with cocktails ect.(still had to show your room key for each one?) The excursions were nice (The Blue hole is a must do!) Snorkeling in Cozumel had really gone down hill from past visits, yet the Fury company does do a good boat ride/beach day. The Star fish/sting ray excursion was OK at best, the poor sting rays where man handled pretty bad and there where only 3 star fished passed boat to boat (nothing like the add?) Issues: We had a few, the drinks policy changed between the booking date Nov 2019 and cruise date Feb 2020, resulting in an up charge of $378.00 if we wanted any drinks over $6, unless your a beer drinker there are none we would drink! The constant bombardment for up sales of specialty dinners and excursions and photo graphs was irritating at best, they follow/interrupt you constantly during the week, and there are rows of them days 1-3!!!! Internet for the most part was OK, as long as one person at a time was logged in? After reading all the prior reviews we where really concerned about this ship line! Overall we believe there is great potential for this cruise line, the help being all foreign does create an issue with language, but they do try to get it straight. The drinks policy is at best an irritant to all involved, the staff has to check for each and every customer, making every bar a nightmare! With waits of 15 minutes or more the norm (that has to change) All other cruises We've done of you buy the drinks package its anything anywhere ect. MSC needs to fix this!! The Aurea experience was a nice upgrade (despite the drinks issue) Having Dine anytime was great, service was amazing, having access to the spa everyday was great, the thermal area is very nice! The staff there where great. They need too give customers A Price for all inclusive (NO Bait and Switch), give them the option to go to the other specialty restaurants, excursions ect. don't force feed it, and keep the photographers to a given place and time, you could not even use the famed crystal stair cases most of the time because they had them blocked off for pictures. The private island is amazing (Ocean Cay), it will mature and become fabulous in time, have the ships schedule allow for more time there it is a real treasure.

Cabin Review

Aurea Balcony Stateroom
Cabin B3
Room was very nice, very clean. We where below the Pool deck and regretfully they had activities on the pool deck most nights after midnight? Balcony was nice and the cool breeze at night was great. Or room steward (Luc) did an amazing job, fresh towels twice a day and always a neat bed! Nothing better than to come home to a made bed!!!!! Be aware there are only 2 outlets in US standard, bring a power strip!
