We've traveled on Oceania in the past and wanted to try one of the smaller ships - hence, the Sirena. The ship is lovely, after the recent renovations, but is not for everyone. The cabins are quite nice- the bathroom is not - it's sooo tiny,,,and the shower - well, let's just day it''s a challenge. One wonders why they were not enlarged...The itineraries seem port-intensive, which is a good thing, as there its relatively little to do on board but visit the (fine) library, read and sit by the pool (if you can find a chair). The food was good though. not as good as I recall from the larger ships and items ran out quickly. Over the 10 days, the ship ran out of figs, mangoes, and fresh orange juice, the items you go on an Oceania cruise for (given their reputation for high-end dining) and this was just at breakfast... The entertainment in the evening was the cruise director serving as a magician, an overly-loud singer and a poor production show. The sound system amplifies everything so that you hear booming noise rather than attractive voices. Would we do the smaller ship again? probably not...

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View
Cabin C1
Avoids at all costs! The cabin is above the stage, which means that - whenever there is a practice session or a show - the sound reverberates in the cabin. When we asked the staff about the noise, the reaction was 'oh, yes - we know', We wished we hadknown when we booked...
