Have wanted to do the Antarctic for ages. Already experienced Seabourn service so putting the two together was obvious. The service was at least as good as a Caribbean cruise we did last year and when you add to that a most impressive expedition team and organisation of Zodiac trips the whole experience was amazing. The itinerary started with a trip down the Chilean Coast encompassing interesting ports and the Chilean Fjords. This was a great introduction prior to the Antarctic Peninsula and got us used to the incredible sights we would see. Even though we were delayed leaving Ushuaia by 12 hours causing us to miss one Antarctic stop ( we had hurricane force winds in port ) that was really sensible and not to be criticised at all. The Antarctic section was probably a lifetime experience - three landing sites, two Zodiac safari days and a kayak experience were all terrific. After that we had an extra day in the Falklands before finishing in Buenos Aires via Montevideo.

As for the rest of the Seabourn experience the food, service and onboard service were wonderful. We dined in all the Restaurants and enjoyed them. The Earth and Ocean option by the pool did some especially good meals and we also enjoyed the Japanese evening and the Ribs in the Collonade. The Grill was really good and well worth booking - it's Wagyu beef was stunning.

Our suite stewardess couldn't do too much for us. We also enjoyed all the talks on board and took part in the interesting trivia quiz on sea days.
