Chose this cruise for price and i wanted to try a new cruise line. the ship looked beautiful and it was a larger ship than i have previously been on and wanted to try a bigger ship. boarding was very good. moved along pretty quickly. the ship is absolutely beautiful, clean and easy to get around on. the entertainment was the best i've ever seen an any line i've been on and i've been on 4 other lines over 20 years of cruising. bar service was kind of slow. some of the servers don't really make eye contact so you can place an order. and there aren't that many servers walking around it seemed we always had to go get our drinks. buffet was good. don't let any haters tell you otherwise. there was so much to choose from and yes some days there were the same items but honestly there was a lot to choose from. pizza was ok. nothing over the top. the main problem was the dining room food. it wasn't awful but it wasn't great. true the choices were a little less than other lines but there was still enough to choose from every night it's just that most nights the meal was average...nothing was over the top by any means. all edible but just not great. didn't ruin my vacation by any means and the price was lower than any other line so you get what you pay for ...as the saying goes. I would have purchased a dinner at one of the restaurants as they all looked really nice but the only offer was to purchase a 3 dinner package and i didn't want to eat 3 meals in the restaurants where your beverage package couldn't be used.the staff in the dining room were very nice and service was good. same with the buffet area. no complaints, they are quieter and not so talkative but this may be due to language or possibly the Euro culture is different than what we North Americans are used to. they are a little more serious but certainly not rude or unhelpful. i had no issue with any of the service other than the bar service as previously mentioned. they couldn't stop at Ocean Cay due to it being a windy day...? so they sent us to Playa Costa and that was disappointing. other than that it was a decent cruise for a decent price. but carnival and royal are still better in quite a few areas. all in all i felt that it was ok value for the money spent.

Cabin Review

Fantastica Inside Stateroom

Cabin was very good. more than enough storage. bathroom was small but big enough for the time spent in there. room was always made up and cleaned. no complaints.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

dont get off the ship. this was substituted for Ocean Cay due to winds. its not a very good port of call. you get off the ship there are a number or stores all overpriced. what appears to be a small man made beach. beer is $10USD im not sure if there were excursions available by the cruise line ..perhaps this would have been an option...

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Beautiful Beach, a bit expensive but nice spot for a beach day for sure.
